HA Fibre Maintenance
 Optilan was subcontracted
to telent (formerly Marconi
) to provide maintenance and support services
for the Highways Agency’s national telecommunications
network, running over the English Motorways
infrastructure.
The services provided cover:
- Emergency Maintenance
- Fibre and copper cable
repair or joint replacement
- Stage 2 fibre/copper
cable testing
- Fibre and copper cable
replacement
Two-man teams drawn from a pool of a dozen specifically
safety- and skills-trained Engineers provided
24/365 call-out services throughout the country
to demanding SLAs (Service Level Agreements),
co-ordinated by an SPoC (Single Point of Contact)
Project Engineer.
Repair and replacement services focussed on
re-splicing critical live working fibres at
speed but without compromising on quality.
Four man/two vehicle cabling teams provided
a full supply/install/terminate/test service
in accordance with HA specifications.
