Optilan has been contracted by Nexen Petroleum U.K. Limited to provide  telecommunications and security systems for the bridge linked process, accommodation and wellhead platforms that comprise the Buzzard Production Complex.

The scope of work covered the supply, integration, installation and commissioning (both on- and offshore) of systems including:

• Ethernet Local Area Network
• PABX/Voice Mail Platform
• 20-camera CCTV system
• Personnel movement/tracking system
• Public Address
• Alarm system including Telecoms Shutdown (TSD)
• Radio – UHF trunk, VHF marine and aeronautical
• Meteorological system
• Marine radar and collision warning
• NDB
• Entertainment  system (circa. 150 rooms)
• Conference / Meeting room Facilities
