Thus (formerly Scottish Telecom) supplies telecoms and internet services to business and to domestic customers using fibre optic cable running over UK infrastructures including Scottish Power.

Optilan have been Principal Contractor for OHL (Overhead Line) Fibre Wrap Replacement projects over Scottish Power’s infrastructure.

Working within coordinated transmission & optical outages, Optilan have provided skilled field engineering teams, including relevant authorised line crew and fibre splicers & testers, to successfully replace fibre optic wrap cable, whilst providing a temporary bypass cable to carry live services whilst work is taking place
